A representative of Massachusetts Peace Action asked me to participate in a national commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the terrible bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These events happened the same year I was born so I felt a special obligation to respond. My response started by writing two 17-syllable poems, an homage to the Haiku form, and then created a dance video with Stephen Buck. The piece is less than three minutes, and the words are embedded with the movement. Below is a link to the national site where it was shown on August 6th.
